Thank you so much for taking the time to read these policies, they are meant to clearly outline the terms and conditions of us working together.  I am looking forward to being of support to you on your journey!  If you should like or need to get in touch prior to or in between sessions, my policy is to use emailing rather than texting.  In an emergency, or time sensitive case, a text message is welcome.

CONFIDENTIALITY

• Cultivating and developing trust is of utmost importance in our work together. Please rest assured that your confidentiality is of prime importance. That being said, our work together is dependent on your ultimate commitment to yourself and your journey towards well-being.

• Please note, when working with a minor (under the age of 18 years old) if information comes up in a session that is detrimental to one's health or well-being, for your own best interests, it is my professional responsibility to share or have you share this information with your parents or primary caregiver.  This ensures that you receive the love and support that you need.

 
CANCELLATION POLICY

• A Fine Balance Wellness understands that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. However, each time you miss an appointment another client is prevented from receiving care..

• You will receive confirmation via email or text within 24 hours of your session.

• A 12-24-hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment, if you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so within 24 hours with no fee assessed. 

• If you should cancel after the 12-hour period, you will be charged the full amount of your session, which must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. 

NO-SHOW

• Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their session will be considered a “no-show” and it would be best to discontinue sessions at that time.

• You will be charged, in full, for this missed session. This amount must be paid prior to your next session and you may be required to pre-pay additional sessions.

LATE ARRIVAL

• If you arrive late, your session may be shortened. Depending upon how late you arrive, there may not be enough time remaining to receive a full session.

• Regardless of the actual length of time of your session, you will be responsible for paying the full amount of the time frame you scheduled.

PAYMENT:

• Payment for session is due prior to our meeting. Doing so allows us to stay in the flow of your session. Payments can be made via Venmo: Anna-Finkelstein-4. 

DISCLAIMER & WAIVER:

 All coaching services, and communication email or otherwise, delivered by A Fine Balance Wellness / Anna Finkelstein as well as information on my website www.afbwellness.com are meant to help you identify the areas in your life and in your thinking that may be standing in your way. However, coaching is not professional mental health care or medical care. If you feel psychologically stressed to the point that it is interfering with your ability to function, please have the courage to seek the help you need in the form of a professional counsellor. Coaching augment your therapy, but the work of coaching is meant to be done when major emotional and psychological wounds are already healing or healed.

 In that spirit, by purchasing Coaching services from Anna Finkelstein, you confirm that you have read and agreed to each statement and that you wish to proceed:

• I understand that the Coaching services I will be receiving from A Fine Balance Wellness are not offered as a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any mental health or medical conditions. I also understand that Anna Finkelstein is not acting as a mental health counsellor or a medical professional.

• I understand that Coaching, at present, fall under an unregulated industry and that Anna Finkelstein is not licensed by any internationally recognized regulator. I also understand that for all legal purposes, the services provided by Anna Finkelstein will be considered to be provided from any remote location worldwide or otherwise in the United States.

• I understand and agree that I am fully responsible for my well-being during my Coaching, and subsequently, including my choices and decisions.

• I understand that Coaching are not substitutes for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment, and I will not use it in place of any form of therapy. These services are designed to give you a toolbox of resources to access your own ability to help support, heal, and empower yourself from this inside out. 

• I understand that all comments and ideas offered Anna Finkelstein are solely for the purpose of aiding me in achieving my defined goals. I have the ability to give my informed consent, and hereby give such consent to Anna Finkelstein to assist me in achieving such goals and aims.

• I understand that Anna Finkelstein will protect my information as confidential unless I state otherwise in writing. If I report child, elder abuse or neglect or threaten to harm myself or someone else, I understand that necessary actions will be taken and my confidentiality agreement limited in this capacity.

• I understand that the use of technology is not always secure and I accept the risks of confidentiality in the use of email, text, phone, Skype and other technology.

• I hereby release, waive, acquit and forever discharge Anna Finkelstein / A Fine Balance, any agents, successors, assigns, personal representatives, executors, heirs and employees from every claim, suit action, demand or right to compensation for damages I may claim to have or that I may have arising out of acts or omissions by myself or by Anna Finkelstein as a result of the advice given by Anna Finkelstein or otherwise resulting from the coaching relationship contemplated by this agreement. I further declare and represent that no promise, inducement, or agreement not expressed in this agreement has been made to me to sign this agreement. This agreement shall bind my heirs, executors, personal representatives, successors, assigns, and agents.
